Easy solutions to your old problems:
Large mirror housings obstructing access to the primes, large front diameter zooms and anamorphics with focus gears difficult to access, Nikon with reverse focus direction, excessive backlash, separate systems to enable handheld use...
Name the Problem, Willytec has solved it. |

Modularity:
is the key to the system: It starts as a zero backlash follow-focus drive mechanism. In its most simple form, this drive becomes a lightweight handheld follow-focus when attaced to the handheld bracket.
The drive mechanism can be mounted on a snap-on bridge to obtain the studio mode. |

Perfect mate:
Willytec follow-focus offers two features to insure perfect mating of the unit to the lens:
1. The gear arm rotates 360 degree:
it engages the focus gear and drives smoothly in any position.
2. The bridge is designed with four dovetails, so that the drive mechanism can slide in and and out to get closer to or away fromthe lens.
These unique features combined with a wide selection of drive gears should solve all clearance and mating problems. |

Operator friendly:
Two knob types are available: The simple handheld knob, and the deluxe 2-speed knob (with marking disk). Either knob can be attached at either side. Both knob types use the standard 12mm square coupling for compatibility with existing whips and speed cranks. The 2-speed knob offers a regular and a slower speed, always readyly available. The focus-puller can, in a single move, start on the faster speed and finish on the slower speed. The 2-speed deluxe knob offers a conical marking disc that allows clear off-axis viewing.
The knob extension provides clearance for the mattebox.
When using physically long lenses, the right-angle attachment for the drive mechanism will enable the operator to comfortably look through the viewfinder while pulling focus without stretching their arm to reach the knob. |
